Developing computational thinking skills through philosophical reasoning LIMITED

This session has the following aims:

1) Encourage a discussion around the concept and value of 'computational thinking', in light of recent pedagogical and psychological research.

2) Share examples of practical practices and strategies aimed at developing computational thinking skills within a DP philosophy classroom setting;

3) Reflect on the applicability of these practices and strategies across the IB curriculum.

Participants will gain an insight into current academic research related to computational thinking and take away some practical applications of this research to an IB classroom setting.
